In reply to Sara Sen.

Hi Sara, thank you for your comment and questions! This question of renting in Mumbai is important, because this city can be expensive according to where you'd like to live.
Personally, I currently live in the suburb of Andheri and it is considered a mid-range rent. Most foreigners are living in Bandra (West), Powai or Andheri (West). Bandra is known to be the cosmopolitan suburbs of Mumbai, where there is a lot of cafés, restaurants and events are happening. A lot of celebrities are known to live, but the rent can be quite expensive. In India, we talk in BHK (Bedroom-Hall-Kitchen), so for a 1 BHK in Bandra, the average rent would start at ₹75-80k.
Powai is also good, especially Hiranandani Gardens, where the architecture of this place could feel like Europe. That's why a lot of foreigners are living here. There are a lot of offices, parks and wide sidewalks (which is rare in Mumbai !). There are mostly towers, where the rent for 1 BHK could go to 60-65k.
The suburbs of Andheri (West) is similar to Bandra, that's the hub for Bollywood celebrities and TV/Music production houses. I can recommend you the area of Lokhandwala Complex, Seven Bungalows, Four Bungalows and Versova (overall, everywhere is nice there). It can however be a bit congested. Here, 1 BHK could go between ₹55-65k.
Feel free to ask me further questions if needed!
